Answering this question becomes more difficult when you have read a hell of a lot of facts about India, the Indian Economy, foreign policy etc. It makes you a person who will say see we will have to do good at this index, that indicator and so on.

DEVELOPED as I saw and many of us see is city life, ease of living, no instability and somewhat like what we call "foreign ki countries". We have an image of those branded cities, A-class Facilities in our head of development which is perfectly fine.

And if we aspire the same for India then there is nothing more to wish!

A busy yet joyful life with no tension of filing  'n' number of resumes, where we will think about other things than to complain about roads with digs, power cuts and those congested streets which make mobility next to impossible.  We want our nation to be happier, less worried about things as law and order.

But my thoughts and analysis were to recognise that root, root in the sense as to what to hit first so that everything else falls on place automatically. I thought of Poverty, Literacy, Health and so on.

And finally, I got the answer from a young girl and a human rights activist YEONMI PARK

She escaped North Korean and is now narrating the world to help people stuck in that regime. But what touched me the most was that she said,
" You have to teach people about FREEDOM, LIBERTY and everything."
And yes, this led me to my answer that this is the root we need to teach people how to be free, how to be questioning and how to work as a nation. And for that, it is important to start working on the roots than to trim the leaves. I mean, we need to take care of our children ...

With this let me take you away from the glitter of the cities to a remote village so remote that your uber, ola, zomato will refuse delivery. Here lives the truth and reality of India. The show-off, the pomp and show, the lights of the city fade and the harsh life sets in.

This is the life of ROSHAN, the FAKIR as I call him ...

Developed India

He is malnutrition, and frequently talks like, "Hai Kuch, khane ko?" (have you something to eat?). Due to nutrition deficiency he is mentally a little bit estranged and unlike other children comes in cold harsh winter mornings in these clothes and sometimes less than these.
Even some villagers scold him, beat him and abuse him as he reaches their home early morning to ask for food, milk and whatnot. It is a common trend to say him a NO because pitying him means inviting him the whole day to your home.

Now to your wonder he is not an Orphan he has his parents with him. His father a daily wage earner, had his eyes operated on and due to COVID 19 lost his job as many of us did. But unlike us, he hasn't had savings even for a meal. The brunt of Covid 19 was felt the most by Roshan who like a fakir walks from door to door for some food. His mother is illiterate and ignorant. She sits home all day, villagers say she is seen as very rare.

Even when Roshan's Family has some money she never cooks, a nearby non-veg Dhaba is their place to eat. Though, the whole village abuses her and calls her idle and dumb, Roshan if given food asks for little more for 'ghar' for his mother.

Dirty clothes, a lot of dirt in ears and hands, of Roshan made me search for the deeper, the bitter truth about our Nation. Where do we live how can we rejoice at the wealth of a few and forget Roshan?
Like YEONMI PARK said they have to be taught how to better their life, they need support and consideration, Roshan needs consideration, as he is INDIA too.
His mother needs the support of her community, ASHA workers, and the government.

People treat Corruption as ethical misconduct, I treat it as theft. A theft and robbing of Roshan's smile, his childhood his innocence. One day if Roshan will turn into a thief it is the sole responsibility of those who create ghost accounts in MNREGA for that was where his father did not get a job. It will be the responsibility of those ASHA workers and Survey people who noted wrong Information and Roshan's pathetic condition did not reach the right place.

India will develop the day Roshan will go to school, the day he must not beg for food in harsh winter. The day his community will lend their hands to raise his family, the day everyone in the government and power will contribute to Roshan. The day when people like you and me will not throw or waste food and think that might be a different Roshan is sleeping empty stomach.

India will be developed when the fortunate literate will not think of the luxury of life but about the poor who are dreaming a life of 2-time meal.

Let India eat a full meal, let Roshan not beg let alone infrastructure, the trickle-down theory.
INDIA will be ROSHAN when ROSHAN will be our INDIA

Hope nobody ever goes to Hungry and empty-handed from your door!!!
God Bless.
