And hopefully, that feeling of irritation, anger and one called chidchida (irritated ) is not only the case with me. Hmm, yes quite not.

Quite recently, my nephew, told me, I am so frustrated and tensed my exam is around the corner, and to your surprise, he is first in the 5th standard.

And is preparing for a competitive exam I pretty well know how this frustration is termed as a NORMAL  to such exams. 

So, let's make life easier by decoding this topic bit by bit, so,

 What is frustration?

Frustration is simply the feeling of sadness, feeling panic, upset and sad about something uncontrollable. One dangerous aspect of this thing is NEGATIVITY. Because when negativity sets in one can't enjoy anything, by anything I mean not even your favourite food, film, hobby etc. 

It leads to 

1. Self-victimization

2. Self-pity

3.Self unworth 

The simple indication of these symptoms of negativity and frustration is 

Excluded from society



Oh, that feeling of  Becharapan(Helplessness), that all people are selfish, and that nobody is mine, and that I am not worth any happiness ... So common among us. 

But if we pause and think we the mighty man, we are a part of one great city with a million population, a nation of more million population, a world of millions of people with trillions of problem,...

Also, we are a part of the earth one part of a milky galaxy, which is a part of a universe and ...we don't know how many universes and galaxies there exactly are...

Now, come back, is your complex, hard, painful, and miserable, lonely life's problems as huge as your existence?



HOW  FRUSTRATION LEADING TO NEGATIVITY, LEADS TO UNENDING PAIN AND LOSS...


Stress diverting mind


Frustration occurs usually when our intended goals or dreams are not reached or met. Now, these goals may be as big as your career or life desired life partner or as simple as food you wanted to eat or things you wanted to be done. 

But some acute situations in your life as Money issue i.e, financial ill-health or Family issues also make a vacuum for life. I have seen the happiest people with the world's saddest souls. That frustration you get when your family member is not cooperating and just opposing you is very dreadful. Here in India, a common issue is Drug addiction and Alcohol addiction, these have destroyed homes, life and people at large.


Negative thoughts

                                  

But coming back to exams, a thought of NOBODY CARES leads to negativity which will end up like giving it up at once. SOCIAL MEDIA is also a great source of frustration as we the children in the exam mode compare and compare which leads to disappointments and hence negativity.

And some quote said, "It is not the problem but the RESPONSE to the problem that matters"!!!

    'BEING STOIC' i.e., Being firm, unmoved and integrated when others would have fallen apart. A stoic is not moved by anything. 

Moreover, reacting to what others say shouldn't be our business...


Modern Thinking

Simply, put it in this way whatsoever, whosoever is bothering you making you a victim just leave it .! Yes that relationship, that argumentative talk, that chitchat on tea, that self-aggrandising relative,...Just leave these jails and remove these shackles. Say NO, be courageous. 

It is hard to start but the destination is worth this hard work.

Especially, UPSC guys just are that studies, alone guy in that home alone room.

Because, once you understand that, 'WHAT WE THINK, WE BECOME', you will realise you are just accumulating garbage information.

Insecurity, Jealousy and Loneliness are all a part of signals that we are not mentally fit. At this time be more kind to yourself!!!

The recent Suicide of MS Dhoni Film fame, Sushant Singh Rajput is proof of this dark den of negativity we need to overcome.

SO, SOME METHODS HOPEFULLY WILL HELP YOU ARE:

  1. EXERCISE - Taking a break from the daily schedule for exercise or a long walk allows your mind to clear thoughts and refreshes you.
  2. MEDITATION - This is the best method to relax our mind and which prevents thoughts from entering our mind. Since last year I have been doing it every morning for 15 min.   3. HEALTHY FOOD - Food operates our body and maintains our health. Eating healthy food is very helpful to overcome frustration because a nutritious and protein diet makes our body and mind strong and active.
  4. ACCEPT REALITY - Accept the reality that is what has happened. This the time left only, no prelim this time too, one more year to work harder. Once that courage comes, to accept no matter what it is, Life seems peaceful. I battled a lot so when aai (mother) left but as time sank I felt stronger and relieved. What I usually do is to compare my situations with the disadvantaged ones in India and then not only strength but a responsibility towards them also arises.
  5. BE POSITIVE - I know this is very difficult to stay positive but as I mentioned above it is up to us. Positivity is the only key which breaks and makes us. Just think of the better option. Or simply put it like do you want it to happen this way? And say of course not so why think so!!
  6. INTERACTIONS (TALKS)- This is very important our family members and friends are the real help to us as nothing is hidden from them. Talk to someone where we become or feel happy and relax or watch childhood favourite cartoons!!!    
  7. GAMES / HOBBIES - This is important this is difficult in such times but trust me to do more than we would love to do which could get happiness in our life. Sports make us forget reality and so does art. Both are HEALERS.
  8. CHOOSE NATURE ONCE A WEEK - This time of SCREENS are also a reason for the minuscule thoughts and problems we have. Explore mountains, Seas...that sigh of awe will wipe these little things ...
                So, don't say situation prompted frustration, don't let situations,  people enslave you. Be FREE !!
Make an equation into your head where your thoughts  are always positive and always stay clam also while passing through tough situation  remember
     "When going gets tougTOTOUGHgets going"!!!


 Decide by a mind not by emotional thoughts. Use the most complex machine of the universe to maximise smiles not miseries.
